Huddle Apps and Platforms: Desktop, Mobile and Web Viewer

Huddle runs on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android, plus a browser Web Viewer that even supports Chromebooks. Here's what each offers.

Huddle.Team is available across every device your team likely uses. Here is the platform picture, so you can pick the right setup for each role.

Mobile Apps (iOS and Android)

Host or join meetings from anywhere with the fully featured mobile apps. On iPhone/iPad and Android you can:

  • Host and manage audio or VoIP conference calls
  • Join video calls and screen-sharing sessions
  • Record a quick video conference
  • Use the virtual phone and voicemail
  • Send meeting invitations by email or iMessage

Requires iOS 10+ (screen sharing needs iOS 11+) or a compatible Android device. The mobile apps are the go-to for participants on the move.

Desktop App (Windows and Mac)

The desktop app is the full-powered experience for hosting: HD video, screen sharing, whiteboarding with participant drawing, recording, and meeting management. Download it from the official apps page or from within your account's Meeting Wall. For hosts, the desktop app is the recommended choice because it gives you the most control during a meeting.

Web Viewer (Browser, No Download)

Participants can join online meetings through the browser using Web Viewer — Chrome is recommended — with no download required. Chromebook users get full host functionality in Web Viewer, including VoIP audio, video, screen sharing, and chat. This is the friction-free option for guests and one-time attendees.

Choosing Your Setup

Most teams use the desktop app for hosting and the mobile apps for joining on the go; guests often join from the web with nothing to install. Because all platforms share the same account and meeting infrastructure, you can start a meeting on desktop and join it from your phone later. Start with our hosting guide for the workflow.

Device-Specific Notes

On iOS, screen sharing requires iOS 11 or later; on older iOS versions, you can still join audio and video calls. On Android, the app is designed to work across the range of devices, but audio source selection can vary by manufacturer. On desktop, the app gives you the richest hosting experience — most hosts prefer it for the whiteboard and drawing tools. Chromebook users should use Web Viewer in Chrome for full host functionality.

Choosing What to Install

You do not need every app installed. Hosts generally use the desktop app; participants can get by with the mobile app or the web viewer. Install the app you will use most, keep it updated, and use the web viewer for one-off joins. The apps are free to download and sync with the same account, so you can switch devices mid-meeting without losing your place.
